National Rifle Association CEO Wayne LaPierre defiantly criticized intense video games and flicks, the media, gun-free areas in schools and various other elements throughout the organization 's first public declaration following the elementary school shooting in Newtown, Conn. last week. LaPierre, who was disturbed by Code Pink protesters twice throughout a statement ( throughout which he refused to answer concerns ), said that the students in Newtown might have been better secured had officials at Sandy Hook Elementary been equipped. He said that putting a police officer in every school in America might make schools more secure.
